Company Safety Policy It is the our policy to comply with all relevant statutory provisions. Semiton ensures the health and safety of all our employees as well as all others affected directly or indirectly by our activities. All Semiton employees have a responsibility to follow safe work practices and take charge of their own safety and anyone that may be affected by there activities. All Semiton subcontractors must comply with all relevant statutory provisions and our safety policies. We at Semiton aim to continually improve our health & safety proformance by having an ongoing pro-active approach to safety management. We achieve this in the following ways: 1. All legal requirements are identified as a minimum acceptable standard.
2. All our employees will have completed the Safe-Pass course and have construction skills cards where required.
3. All site management will at minimum have completed the CIF managing safety in construction course.
4. Achieving certification through the Safe T scheme. This scheme provides independant certification of the companies health & safety management systems.
5. A new safety plan is drawn up each year and reviewed.
6. Semiton has an excellent safety record. Referenced from insurance risk managers.
7. Semiton Safety Officers are qualified in safety, health & welfare and carry out regular inspections. Reports are then presented to site management immediateley on completion for ation if required.
